House Raffles In the Media
According to this brief article on the Shoshone News Press website, the Wallace Business and Community Association is planning to raffle off the rights to a gold mine, together with the equipment needed to recreationally pan for gold in the area. The Bill Banks Placer Property at Murray Idaho is 30 acres large and estimated to be worth around $10,000.
The winner will receive the rights to the land, together with the high quality equipment needed to mine it at a small scale. This includes a brand new Tsurumi water pump and a Honda GX-motor with intake to discharge hoses. The cost of running the mine is around $20 per year to cover administrative expenses.
The raffle is expected to be carried out on Friday 2 October. Tickets are already for sale through downtown Wallace merchants. All profits made from the raffle will go towards helping market Wallace.
