House Raffle Winners
The results of the 2009 Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle were drawn at DesertArc's campus in Palm Desert yesterday. Rudy Maus, from R. Palos Verdes, won the top prize: a $1.2 million Spanish-style three bedroom house in The Griffin Club, La Quinta; a luxury 242-acre master-planned community designed for those seeking sophisticated surroundings.
This house raffle was organized to support DesertArc, a non-profit charity that was set up in 1959 "to improve the quality of life for persons who are mentally and physically challenged." In 1969, DesertArc set up a campus in Palm Desert to establish workshop programs to help people with developmental disabilities.
With more than 15,000 tickets sold in the raffle, a total of 101 valuable prizes were awarded on the day. Including the 'early bird' drawings, this brings the total amount of raffle prizes to 151.
Rudy won a beautiful holiday home packed with impressive features and state of the art amenities. In addition to three bathrooms, two garages and high ceilings throughout, the property prize benefits from landscaped gardens and an outdoor patio - perfect for barbecues.
Congratulations to Rudy and DesertArc for organizing a successful win a house raffle! For full details of the 2009 Palm Springs Dream Home Raffle winners, visit the raffle website.
